The three million Euro bail amount was imposed against Roca in the Saqueo 1 case.

The Third Section of the Penal Hall of the National Court has dismissed an appeal placed by the lawyers for Juan Antonio Roca, the ex Marbella Municipal Real Estate Assessor, who was challenging the decision of Judge Pablo Ruiz to increase his bail amount in the Saqueo 1 case to three million €.

Magistrate Alfonso Guevara considered that the amount should not be reduced, given the ‘agility of the accused’ in paying the one million € bail issued against him in the Malaya case, which showed his economic solvency.

The judge also made reference to a possible flight risk given that the Saqueo 1 case is expected to come to court shortly.
