The win in Hertogenbosch was on grass and comes ahead of Wimbledon.

Spanish tennis player David Ferrer, won the Dutch open at Hertogenbosch on Saturday, beating the French player Marc Gicquel 6-4, 6-2 in the final.

It’s the seventh title of his career, the second of the season and is of special interest as it was on grass and means the Spaniard is in form for Wimbledon.

It’s the second title on grass for Spaniards in a week following the win for Rafa Nadal at Queens Club last weekend.
