Istanbul club Fenerbahçe has said it has reached a two year deal with the trainer of the Spanish national side, but Aragonés says he has signed nothing.

Turkish football club side Fenerbahçe has announced the signing of the Spanish national team trainer, Luis Aragonés. They say that he will sign for the next two seasons as soon as Euro 2008 is over.

It comes despite the fact that the Spanish Football Federation has already revealed it is to ask Aragonés tomorrow to stay on as national team trainer.

The Istanbul club claims that an agreement was reached with 70 year old Aragonés and ‘his team’ of four some weeks ago. The team is said to be a trainer, a physical trainer, a statistical technician and a goalkeeper trainer.

However the Spanish trainer has said that he has signed nothing and that the news from Turkey has not come at a good time. Aragonés also told the press yesterday that he had not received an offer to stay on as national trainer from the Spanish Football Federation as had also been reported.
