Three youngsters die in tragic traffic accident near Granada

The three to die were all aged 21 or under and from the Granada village of Huétor Santillán.

Three youngsters aged 15, 17 and 21 have died in a traffic accident in Granada, while the 25 year old driver of the vehicle in which they were travelling is in a very serious condition in hospital.

It happened on Wednesday night at the 4km point of the A-4003 in Huétor Santillán when their car left the road at speed on a bend and crashed into a parked refuse lorry.
The driver of the dustcart was unhurt.

The Archbishop of Granada, Francisco Javier Martínez, is to carry out the funeral for the deceased, who are all local, on Friday. The village of Huétor Santillán is 12 kms from Granada City and has a population of just 1,750.
