Ramón Calderón said that it all depended on Manchester United whether the player could make his move to Real Madrid.

The Chairman of Real Madrid Football Club, Ramón Calderón, who was in London to witness the Wimbledon final between Rafa Nadal and Roger Federer, has admitted that it now most likely that Portuguese player, Cristiano Ronaldo, will still be playing in Manchester next season.

Calderón admitted that there was nothing to be done, and that there was no news on the Real Madrid attempts to sign the player since the European Cup. He said it was Manchester United which had to want to sell the player for any advance to be made. He denied press reports that the problem was a 15 million € difference, between 100 million and 85 million € saying that talks had not reached that point.

Interestingly, Calderón thought the motion of censure against the Chairman of Barcelona, Joan Laporta, was unjust.
