The race was won in wet conditions by Lewis Hamilton.

Fernando Alonso came in sixth in the wet and chaotic British Formula One Grand Prix at Silverstone this weekend.
Spanish commentators have wondered whether there was favouritism to Lewis Hamilton who won the race, with the safety car not being called out on to the track despite more than 30 incidents in the race. Hamilton described the race as the best of his career.

Fernando Alonso said it was a wasted opportunity for him, but sixth was not bad in a race where the important thing was to stay on the track.
