email this article The event has seen top names from the world of music performing on the outskirts of Madrid over the past two weekends.The Spanish press is full of rave reviews for Bob Dylan who closed the first Rock in Rio music festival held in Madrid over the past two weekends.
The event, held in Arganda del Rey, was closed by Franz Ferdinand, Lenny Kravitz and Dylan, who was the most applauded on the last day of two weekends of concerts which were also broadcast live on La2 television. Dylan played some of the best known tunes of his career, and in some cases came up with almost unrecognisable versions of some of his classics in a set which lasted 1 hour 50 minutes.
Amy Winehouse arrived on Friday in a private jet, just a few minutes before going on stage with 75,000 waiting to see and hear her on Friday.
Last weekend’s headliners were Alejandro Sanz and The Police.
More than 300,000 people attended the event over the past two weekends, and the festival returns to Madrid again in two years time.
