The 19 year old was held captive when she tried to end a relationship with one of those now arrested.

The Catalan Police, Los Mossos d’Esquadra, have freed a gypsy woman who was kidnapped and raped and held for two months in the Osona area of Barcelona.

19 year old Dolores was held in a gypsy camp in Centelles and says that she was taken captive after she wanted to end a relationship with one of the men involved. She says she was repeatedly beaten with a dog lead.

Five people, three men and two women aged between 18 and 49, all of gypsy origin, have been arrested following the release of the victim last Friday, who was found hiding under a blanket in an old electrical transformer building.

Those arrested face charges of kidnap, causing injury, failing to obtain help, degrading treatment, the making of threats and in the case of one of the men, sexual aggression.
