Search for missing 14 immigrants called off in Motril

Details of those who are now feared to have drowned were given by the survivors of the tragedy.

The search for the missing 14 Nigerian immigrants who are thought to have drowned when their boat sank off the coast of Motril of Monday was finally called off yesterday.

Another 23 occupants of the small boat were rescued in heavy seas in the early hours of Monday some 60 miles from the coast.

The Government Sub Delegate said the air search was being suspended after 21 hours, and that there was no hope of finding the nine men, four women and a three year old girl.
