Man arrested in connection with death of Italian tourist

A man has been arrested in connection with the death of an Italian tourist last weekend in Lloret de Mar.
Local television channel 3/24 reports that local police from Tarragona arrested Victor D.S. in Tarragona. He is a 28 year old man from Uruguay, and his photo had previously been distributed by the regional Catalan police, Los Mossos d’Esquadra. He had been on the run from his home in Lloret since Monday.
Police have taken the suspect’s fingerprints and DNA as investigations continue.
The body of Federica Sqarise was found half buried on the seventh of this month after she went missing on July 1.
