Thousands of locals crammed into the Plaza Constitorial to sing the traditional ‘Pobre de Mi’, the song which closes the fiestas each year.
Mayor of Pamplona, Yolanda Barcina, announced the end of the fiesta at midnight last night, calling those in attendance to return for the start of next year’s event on July 6 2009.
This year’s fiestas were marked by a series of generally clean bullruns, with no serious injuries.
