email this article The prosecutor has been sent an unsigned letter and CD containing information.New links between the Malaya real estate corruption case in Marbella and the La Mancha region of Spain are being investigated.
The Anti Corruption Prosecutor in Málaga, Juan Carlos López Caballero, is reported to have received an unsigned letter and CD which links several of those charged in Marbella to corruption cases in the Castilla La Mancha region. Money laundering links between the areas are also now reportedly under investigation and the letter and CD are being investigated to see ‘if the information they contain is relevant to the present events’.
86 people have been charged in the Malaya case since it broke in March 2006 and assets worth more than 2.4 billion € have been impounded in the case.
