The Real Madrid captain hopes that the new national manager, Vicente del Bosque, will let him dress in red again.

Spanish footballer, Raúl González, captain of Real Madrid, has said that he hopes that once again he can play for Spain.

Previous national trainer, Luis Aragonés, controversially removed Raúl from his selection, but despite not playing the player told the press yesterday that those who said he was not happy for the teams success in the European Championships did not know him. He said however that he did suffer from what he called ‘healthy envy’.

His comments came in the first Real Madrid press conference of the season yesterday.
Raúl wished Aragonés well in his new job in Turkey, and he wished Vicente Del Bosque well in the job. Raúl said that he would continue to work for Real, but if he was called for his country again it would be ‘the most beautiful’.
