email this article The Alicante Court considered the woman was carrying nearly five grams of the drug for personal use, and released her without charge.The Provincial Court in Alicante has found a French woman not guilty of a crime against public health as she is already a cocaine addict. She was found with nine cocaine papers containing a total of 4.84 grams of the drug in her bag when arrested in a restaurant car park, but the court decided to release her when they considered that she had the drug for her personal use and not to sell it.
She had been held in police cells three days waiting for the case to come to court and she will now be paid compensation for losing her freedom over that time, and the state will also pay the costs of the case.
