The court considered that the man was not the main author of the attack.

Alicante Provincial Court has found a man not guilty of the rape of a prostitute although he admittedly took part in the aggression.

The court considered that the man was not the main author of the attack which happened in 2005, and the victim told the chamber that she could not remember what had happened very well. She also said that she forgave the accused.

The court ruled that there was no evidence to directly link the accused to the crime, and that his genetic profile was incompatible with samples taken at the time of the attack. The prosecutor had asked for a 12 year prison sentence.
