Thieves dressed up as painters to rob homes in Madrid

A family clan of nine Colombians has been arrested.

A family clan has been arrested in Madrid in connection with a spate of thefts from homes in the Madrid dormitory towns of Móstoles, Fuenlabrada and Leganés.

The nine Colombians dressed up as painters and decorators to carry out burglaries from across the south of the Madrid region.

Aged between 20 and 52 some of the gang are also charged with carrying out bag snatch robberies in the area from people who have just withdrawn money from the bank.
