French two year old drowns in Elche swimming pool

It happened yesterday in the Torreazul urbanisation.
A two year old French girl drowned in the swimming pool of a villa in the Torreazul urbanisation in Elche yesterday.
The villa is owned by the child’s father who is also French, and it seems the tragedy happened at 7pm last night when the girl fell into the water when being watched by a brother and a friend.
Despite attempts to reanimate her nothing could be done to save her life. She had only arrived in Spain on holiday a few days previously.
The tragedy follows the drowning of a three year old English girl in a pool in Cómpeta last week and that of an 18 month girl in El Campello on the 13th of the month.
