Valencia fans unhappy at club ownership changes

Fans are also concerned that top players may be sold to clear the club's debt.

Valencia fans have been protesting about the boardroom battles at the club and have called on Juan Soler to resign. Dozens of fans gathered outside the Mestalla Stadium on Friday in protest at how the shareholder Soler has arranged for Vicente Soriano to take over the club from Juan Villalonga. Fans say they are fed up with the ongoing confusion.

Villalonga, the ex President of Telefónica has said that he may still purchase more than 70,000 shares from Juan Soler. Fans are also concerned that players such as Villa or Silva may be sold to help clear the club’s debt put by Villalonga at 780 million €.
