Moroccan man gets 27 years for rape

The Provincial Court in Almería has sentenced a Moroccan man to 27 years in prison for raping a woman who suffered from schizophrenia in a greenhouse in El Ejido in June 2006.
The victim was said to suffer from a 72% disability, and the court heard how two countrymen of the accused were also present during the rape, laughing and looking on.
The man was also served a distancing order to stay away from his victim for ten years following his release and ordered to compensate her with 12,000 €.
