Rafael Sánchez Lavado said all he was guilty off was being unfaithful to his wife.

The Partido Popular Mayor of the Málaga village of Sierra de Yeguas, Rafael Sánchez Lavado, has responded to the allegations of raping his deputy, by saying that the only thing he is guilty off was being unfaithful to his wife. He told the press yesterday that he had never abused his deputy and that she had made the accusation in an attempt to unseat him as Mayor.

In the presence of his wife and daughter he apologised for having been unfaithful to his wife for the past seven years with an affair with his deputy.

The alleged victim, Deputy Mayor Josefa Torres, has declined to repeat her version of events to the press.
