email this article The Murcia High Court has ruled that the case against José Martínez Andreo should proceed.The Murcia High Court, (TSJ) has ruled that charges of bribery remain in place against the Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo.
He is alleged to have collected, or tried to collect a backhander for his real estate decisions in the town in a case which continues in Instruction Court 1 in the town. He also faces other charges of influence peddling, falsifying documents, perversion of the course of justice, failing to report a crime, fraud, and the incorrect use of public funds.
In addition the magistrate, Julián Pérez Templado, has ordered the UCO specialist Guardia Civil to investigate the assets of both the Mayor’s parents and in-laws.
