Second Spanish no show for Chuck Berry

Following his no show at a performance planned in the Estepona bullring on Saturday, Chuck Berry, has now also failed to appear before the 600 or so who purchased tickets to see him play in what should have been the closing gig of the IV Mirador de la Reina festival in León on Sunday.
What’s more the singer is accused of making off back to the United States with close to 18,000 € deposit paid previously by the promoter, Eje Producciones. Their spokesman Enrique López, said that they had one phone call in the early hours of Sunday from Berry’s tour manager, Summa Music, saying that the singer would not appear for ‘personal reasons’.
The provincial government in León says it is taking legal advice to charge Berry with the breaking of his contract.
