All the crew are reported to be safe and in good health.

16 Spanish fishermen were rescued in the Atlantic yesterday after they raised an S.O.S. when the engine room of the ‘Centauro 1’ flooded when 480 kilometres to the west of Ireland.

Scottish coastguards responded to the alert and asked for support from an RAF Nimrod.
In the event, another fishing boat went to the rescue and took the crew to the port of Killebegs. All the crew are said to be in good health.
