The Caustic Soda was in a bottle which had a water label and the cap in place, and which had been left on the bar of the venue.
The money has to be paid by the owner and a waiter at the discothèque, with the latter admitting using the water bottle to hold the caustic soda as the venue was closing and being cleaned.
As a consequence the customer suffered serious injuries to her oesophagus and permanent scarring to her throat.
