Bail has been granted to three others who face charges in the case.

Prison on remand has been ordered for the man alleged to be at the centre of a new corruption scandal which has broken out on Mallorca.

The ex maintenance chief, Juan Francisco Gosálbez, was denied bail, although it was granted to the ex Manager, Damià Amengual, by Judge Antonio Rotger.

The accused face charges of the mis-use of public funds and are part of a total of four people charged in the case.

The Partido Popular have said that they are to expel Gosálbez from the party following the charges against him while Amengual has been suspended on a temporary basis.
