An Argentinean researcher claims that he escaped Berlin on a flight to Barcelona.

An Argentinean researcher has claimed that Adolf Hitler did not commit suicide in the bunker in Berlin, but in fact fled to Spain in 1945.

Journalist Abel Basti is basing his claim on an FBI document published in 1947 saying the United States was looking for him in Spain, and says he has further proof that Hitler arrived in Spain on April 27 1945, with Eva Braun and 13 others on a flight which landed in Barcelona.

The claim is that Hitler was in Spain for less than a month before using a submarine to escape from Spain to South America.
