French plastic surgeon arrested in Girona

A French doctor who is accused of disfiguring 96 women has been detained on an International Arrest Warrant in Empuriabrava near Girona.
The man, Michel Maure, described himself as the best plastic surgeon in the world, and has been on the run since a court case held in Marseille last June.
He was arrested in the early hours of this morning by the regional Catalan police, Los Mossos d’Esquadra. The National Court will now deal with his extradition back to France.
