Elche hit and run driver held on remand in prison

A 73 year old woman died at the scene and her 48 year old daughter was seriously injured.
A man who ran over two women in Elche and then drove off has been arrested. One of the women, a 73 year old mother died at the scene while her 48 daughter remains in a serious condition in hospital. It happened on Thursday night in the Avenida de Novelda close to the tanatorio.
The duty judge in Court number 5 in Elche has refused bail for the 48 year old man who faces charges of negligent homicide and failing to report an accident, among others.
