Woman killed in domestic violence attack in Barcelona

The father killed the mother in the presence of the couple's 12 year old son.
A man accused of killing his 46 year old ex wife in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, Barcelona, has been arrested by the regional police force in Cataluña, Mossos d’Esquadra.
They say the murder took place in the victim’s home at 8,30pm last night in the presence of their 12 year old son who was also injured in the attack and who has been in surgery this morning. The arrest took place in Barcelona around midnight. Both the victim and the aggressor are Spanish.
Meanwhile in a separate incident a policeman on the beat in Bilbao noticed that a woman who was walking with a man ‘appeared nervous’ and when he asked her if everything was alright she denounced the man with her for ill-treatment and said that he had also sexually abused her. To this the man told the policeman to take no notice of his girlfriend as ‘she was a bit crazy’.
The woman went ahead with the complaint and claimed that she had been suffering both physical and psychological abuse for a year.
