The problems have arisen at the Torre Atalaya Institute in Málaga City.

Reports from the Torre Atalaya Institute in Málaga City indicate that the centre has started the new academic year with 510 table and chairs for 532 student. It means that some pupils are having to sit on the floor.

The head teacher of the school says the Junta de Andalucía was informed of the total number of students this academic year before the summer but has failed to act.

The regional Educational department says it has now sent 90 extra desks.
