The ex Mayor of Marbella found 940,000 Euro to stop her house from being auctioned following a builders's debt.

The instruction judge in the Malaya corruption case in Marbella, Óscar Pérez, has ordered an investigation be made into the origin of the money used by the ex Mayor of Marbella, Marisol Yagüe, to save her house being put up for auction earlier this month.

Press reports at the time said the nearly 940,000 € came from her brother’s business. It’s now understood one third of the money came from that business, Monterrey S.L. but the other two thirds were paid in cash with Yagüe’s lawer, Alfredo López, failing to indicate its providence.
