email this article This time the singer songwriter leaves the band at home and will entertain at the piano.Rufus Wainwright plays the Cervantes Theatre in Málaga tonight and tomorrow in what is his second visit to the venue. Openly impressed last time by the acoustics of the venue, this time round the band is left at home and the 34 year old singer, who was born in New York but who grew up in Canada, comes only with his piano.
Wainwright has said the new tour is so he can save some money to dedicate the next year to the completion of an opera, 'Prima Donna', he is currently composing, but tonight and tomorrow he promises tracks from the latest album ‘Release the Stars’ as well as tunes from Burt Bacharach and Brian Wilson.
Tickets from 14 to 42 € at generaltickets.com and performances start at 9pm both nights.
