Full house for Spanish teams in the UEFA Cup

Deportivo, Racing, Sevilla and Valencia are all through to the group stage of the competition.

It went to penalties but Deportivo la Coruña turned round a 0-2 deficit from the first leg against Brann Norway to reach the groups phase of the UEFA Cup last night. Both goals came from Colotto, and the action of the Coruña goalkeeper, Aranzubia was decisive.

The result completed a full house for Spanish teams in the competition with Racing, Sevilla and Valencia also all through.

Valencia suffered to finally get past Marítimo 2-1 after the visitors went ahead.

Racing had no problems in what is their first UEFA competition after beating the Finnish side Honka away 0-1. The goal from Edu Bedia came in the fourth minute.

Sevilla had a comfortable win over Salzburg away 0-2, with both goals coming from Kanouté, the second from the penalty spot.
