Suspected rapist arrested in Gran Canaria

The arrested 48 year old may be implicated in the disapparance of Sara Morales and Yeremi Vargas.
A 48 year old married man was arrested last Saturday in connection with a series of sexual aggressions which have been carried out in Las Palmas over the past year.
Police think the man they have in custody could be a serial rapist, and the driver of a white van who has been denounced by several women on Gran Canaria over recent years.
They are also investigating whether he could be involved in the disappearance of Sara Morales who went missing on July 30, 2006. He will appear in court tomorrow, Tuesday, in Instruction Court 3 in Las Palmas.
