A new exhibtion on the renaissance opens at the National Gallery in London today.
A joy for residents and visitors to London at the National Gallery, where a new exhibition about Felipe II has just opened.
Full of renaissance splendour, visitors can see the portraits of the Spanish King by Tiziano and Antonio Moro in a show put together by the Prado Museum in Madrid. Prado Director, Miguel Zugaza, explained there were some differences between the Madrid and London shows as there were some paintings which could not journey because they were too fragile, but this also meant that there were some from the National Gallery which were not able to travel to the Prado.
The exhibition ‘Renaissance Faces: Van Eyck to Titian’, opens today and runs at the National Gallery until January 18 next year.
