It happened in the Granada village of Cortes de Baza in February this year.
A 14 year old boy from Cortes de Baza in Granada, who shot his 40 year old mother dead last February 20, has been given a five year nine month punishment in juvenile centres.
Four years will be in a closed regime, while one will be semi-open, following an agreement reached between the parties and the Child Prosecutor in Juvenile Court 2 in Granada. The child was considered guilty of homicide and of the illegal possession of firearms.
Once the formal punishment has been completed there will be a further three year period of supervised release.
Initially the 14 year old just reported the shooting, but confessed to the crime later the same day.
