Spain is seeing a weekend of harsh winter weather with snow, rain and strong winds across the country.
The snow line is between 500 and 600 metres in the North and the Centre of the country, and between 800 and 900 metres in the south. As much as 20cms of snow is expected in parts of Lugo, Ourense and Granada.
Six regions are on Civil Protection alert for snow and high winds, Asturias, Cantabria, Basque Country, Andalucía, Galicia and Castilla-La Mancha.
Highest winds are forecast along the Cantabrian coastline, and also along the Andalucian coastline and in the Strait and on high ground inland where they could reach 120kms/hour in places.
The rainfall will move away from Sunday, but cloudy conditions will continue into next week.
