Bernard Laniado-Romero says he wants to rest and then take on new projects.

Bernard Laniado-Romero says he is leaving as Director of the Picasso Museum in Málaga, and will not be renewing his contract. He said it was his own decision and comes after four years in the post. He says he wants to rest and then take on new projects. He says that after five years in existence the museum is now mature enough to ensure that his departure represents no problem.

His work was praised by Bernard Ruiz Picasso, the painter’s grandson, in an act at the museum on Monday, which was also attended by the local councilor for culture, Rosa Torres. There now opens a period of three months to find a new Director for the centre.
