Three of the most wanted ETA terrorists have been arrested in Pau, France.
The three, Asier Borrero, Itziar Plaza and Iurgi Garitagoita were all armed and carrying identity papers when arrested on Saturday.
It means that six wanted ETA activists have been arrested over the past nine days and the latest detentions are part of a joint operation between the French and Spanish police which was opened some months ago. The latest three arrests were made as the terrorists were leaving a McDondalds restaurant.
