Spanish artists sell well at Christie's New York

More than 100 works from Spanish artists were sold on Wednesday

Christie’s auction house in New York on Wednesday sold more than 100 works from several Spanish artists, including watercolours, etchings and prints from Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dalí and Joan Miró for more than seven million dollars.

The works by Pablo Picasso did far better than expected, with a selection of 25 engravings heading the sales, reaching 80,500 $.
The items from Joan Miro, including seven colour lithographs reached 52,000 $ compared to the expected 40,000 $.

There were also works by Warhol, Chagall and Matisse at the sale which made 7.6 million dollars in total, according to Christie’s.
