Seven suspects have been questioned by police
Seven youngsters were questioned by police on Monday in connection with the stabbing of a 17 year old during a brawl near the Camino de los Almendrales in Málaga early on Saturday. The teenager remains in a coma in the Intensive Care Unit of the city’s Carlos Haya Hospital, and it’s understood from Diario Sur that a 20 year old man, A.J.D., who received less serious injuries during the fight, is in the same hospital. He is in a stable condition.
It happened in an area known as El Pueblecito, on waste ground which is a popular meeting place for local gangs. The 20 year old’s group have told police that the teenager is from a rival gang and attempted to attack A.J.D. with a knife, but accidentally injured himself with his own weapon. Sources quoted by the newspaper said that other injuries to his body show, however, that he suffered a beating.
Sur reports that some of the suspects questioned by police are juveniles, and that all seven were released after questioning.
