Benzema scores for Real Madrid - EFE
Both the Madrid sides drew away from home on Tuesday night
Real Madrid will be disappointed to have come away from the San Siro in Milan with only one point after the 1-1 result against AC Milan in the Champions League last night. There is a real chance that one of these two big sides could not make the last 16 of the competition, as both now have seven points in their group.
Benzema put Real ahead, then Ronaldinho scored the equalizer from the penalty spot. In the second half Real Madrid played a poorer game, lacking in intention and intensity. Five of their seven shots on goal were taken from outside the area.
The other Spanish team in action on Tuesday night was Atlético de Madrid, who saw a 2-2 result at home to Chelsea. The two Madrid goals came from Kun Agüero, but were not enough to see Atlético now confirmed to be out of the Champions League. Drogba was the Spanish side’s undoing, who equalized and then put Chelsea ahead in a six minute period of the match.
