Spain Weekend Football Results - Monday November 9 2009

Barecelona, Real Madrid and Sevilla all win
Both Real Madrid and Sevilla won this weekend and remain on the tail of Barcelona who were also victors. Barça is top with 26 points, one more than Real Madrid.
Real Madrid had a good first half against Atlético in the derby game in Saturday, Atlético had more of the play in he later stages of the game after Sergio Ramos was sent off in the 66nd minute. It ended 2-3 thanks in great part to Kun Agüero.
In bad weather it was a poor game but still a 4-2 result for Barcelona, again on Saturday, against Mallorca. Pedro was the star player, scoring two, for the Catalans and Ibrahimovic also had a good game.
Málaga came back from 2-0 behind to equalize the match 2-2 in Tenerife. The desperation of the bottom placed Málaga forced the side to be more ambitious lead by Javi López.
Also on Saturday Deportivo beat Getafe 2-0 despite ending the away game with nine players. Getafe showed a lack of ideas.
Sundays results were lead by Sevilla. Freddy Canoute came off the bench to give his side a 3-2 result against Villarreal where Luis Fabiano was also key for the Andalucian side.
Valencia had no problems staying fourth with a 3-1 win at home against Zaragoza.
