The promo for the feature had claimed that the singing star could be facing prison in the Malaya case

Telecinco television has been promoting a feature which it was to broadcast tonight as part of its ‘La Noria’ programme, by saying that a police report from the Malaya case could send Spanish Diva, Isabel Pantoja, to prison.

The singer was in a relationship for some years with Julián Muñoz, the ex Mayor of Marbella, and one of the key players in the case.
The broadcast of the promo led Pantoja’s lawyers to intervene and now a court in Madrid, having watched the report, has ordered that Telecinco not broadcast it as it contains reports which are still subject to legal reporting restrictions.

The broadcaster will now emit a watered down version, called ’Todo al Descubierto’ at 9,45pm tonight. A spokesman for the channel told El País, ‘We are going to respect the judge’s decision scrupulously’.
