Storms possible in the south of the country today

There is a yellow alert for high waves along the coast of Galicia today, but the rest of the country will see more stable conditions, but with the north generally enjoying the better of the weather, and the south subjected to cloud and rain.

Cloudy intervals in Andalucía and in the area of the Strait, with showers, moderate in places, and occasionally stormy.
Elsewhere along the Mediterranean, Extremadura, and Melilla there will be cloudy intervals with the chance of isolated showers.
Elsewhere in the country it will be generally clear and sunny, although cloud will increase from Galicia to the east late in the day. Cloudy or very cloudy on the Baleares and generally clear on the Canaries.

Morning mist and fog possible in many areas.

Winds light and variable generally, southerly weak to moderate in Galicia. NE weak to moderate on the Canaries.

Outlook

The rain affecting the Costa del Sol should clear, but to leave a mostly cloudy weekend.
The Costa Blanca may see the rain continue into Friday in places, but again a dry but cloudy weekend.
Expect a return to generally sunny conditions from Monday or Tuesday.
