Marina management company embargoed in Guardamar del Segura

It's understood to relate to a debt from some years ago
There’s an uncertain future for the marina in Guardamar del Segura, the Marina de las Dunas, with the decision by a judge in Torrevieja to embargo the municipal company which manages the marina and the fishing port. Diario Información gives the amount embargoed as almost half a million € and it’s understood that all the company’s bank accounts are affected. It puts the workers’ salaries at risk as well as payment of basic services such as electricity and water supply.
The company must, in addition, pay 40,000 € for the court costs.
The ruling from the Torrevieja court orders that a sentence to embargo issued by the provincial court in Elche in 2005 be enacted.
It’s reported to relate to a complaint against Marina de las Dunas SA presented two years previously over the alleged non-payment of a debt.
