The Real Madrid player finds himself part of a Catalan tradition
Cristiano Ronaldo, may not have been found playing on the pitch for Real Madrid much this season because of injury, be it from voodoo or not, but he’s now easily found caught having a crap as one of the year’s new additions to nativity scenes in Spain.
The ‘caganer’ characters are said to bring good luck to Catalan nativity scenes, and all of them have one, generally hiding in the corner. Being depicted in this way is far from being an insult, but more a curious recognition of fame. Last year more than a few Barack Obama’s could be found in similar pose.
Many famous personalities and all the Barça team can also be found doing what nature demands, and it’s not yet known what the Portuguese player thinks about the tradition. His main concern is to recover from ankle injury and indeed he is expected to be playing again in time for the ‘clasico’ against Barcelona.
