The Ayuntamiento will now appeal to the Andalucia High Court of Justice over the Urbanisation Playa Serena

Roquetas de Mar Town Hall has been told it has to revise the building licences granted for 265 homes in the municipality, built and partially occupied in the Urbanisation Playa Serena.

The Junta de Andalucía has rejected the proposals from the promoter, Carinaga, considering that they break the LOUA regional ordinances and the territorial plan for the Almeria Poniente. So understands Contentious Court 1 in Almería which now wants the Town Hall to revise the permissions granted despite earlier refusing to do so in October 2007.

The licence itself was granted in February 2005 after a modification to the land use from for hotels to residential. It increased the density of homes in the area by 251. The Town Hall is to appeal the decision to the Andalucia High Court of Justice, TSJA.
