Seach for the red beetle extends to Pla de Novelda

The beetle has been attacking palm trees in the region

Technicians from the Tragsa company have started to search the area of Pla de Novelda in search of the red beetle which has been affecting palm trees in the region.

The insect was first found in two palm trees in Elche some months ago. The two trees have been chopped up and buried ten metres underground in the municipal tip at Villena.
