The club has failed to make the Champions League quarter finals yet again
Sevilla have been knocked out of the Champions League, beaten at home at the Sánchez Pizjuan last night by the Russian side CSKA Moscow 1-2 in the second leg of the tie.
Necid and Honda scored for the Russians, and Perotti was the local goalscorer. Sevilla’s manager, Manolo Jiménez, put all his strikers on the field, but the goals would not come.
Already there is talk of the end of Jiménez’s time at the club, and Chairman, José María del Nido, called for calm from the fans who had called for a sacking, saying the manager has a contract until the end of the season.
